CJD's New EP Release Party - 26 Sep 2011

Christopher Dallman just announced his new EP release event on September 26th. It will be held at Show at Barre at 8pm.


Friend and fellow indie musician Fay Wolf will be opening the event as guest for the show.

The new EP is called "Light The Love" and the release party will also be a celebration for Christopher's birthday!

Those in LA or nearby, you HAVE to go for this gig!

And those who are going, please do remember to share pics and your stories with the other CJD fans who cannot be there in person!

Enjoy A CJD Live Performance... Digitally!

Recently, Christopher Dallman has been indulging his fans by doing uStream performances from time to time. And at different times to cater to his growing international fanbase in various time zones.

His last uStream "living room" performance was on Friday, July 29th at 11am PST.

There were the regular suspects in CJD's "living room" that day. And as we greeted each other, we got cozily settled for what we knew would be another fantastic acoustic session by Christopher. At one point, there were about 52 people in the "living room"!! Quite a sizeable crowd.

Christopher Dallman has been doing quite a few live uStream performances and fans from all over the world have attended the event via their various computers/ gadgets.

Today, Friday, July 29, 2011, Christopher will be back in his living room with another uStream performance LIVE at 11:00am - 12:00pm PST.

Just CLICK HERE for the uStream page and get ready to be enamoured by Christopher's undeniable talent as he sings to his fans over the internet. This time, Christopher will also be taking questions. So get those nosy questions ready!

Of course, there is a lot more work to be done - like mixing and mastering. And for Christopher to decide and plan for the actual release date.

Celebrate Indie Music Videos At Cinema Speakeasy!

A celebration on music videos and its surprising longevity will be held on Saturday, June 18th at Cinema Speakeasy's Music Video Mega-Mix event!

Cinema Speakeasy is a not-for-profit organization that promotes indie films and works.

The special event also aims to show how cinematic directors and musicians come together effectively to produce the most interesting music videos and our favourite indie bb, Christopher Dallman's "Gimme More" video will be one of those chosen to be screened!

CJD Live with Jake Walden!

Christopher Dallman has announced a live performance at the Hotel Cafe on Saturday, June 4th at 7pm!

There will be a special set opening with Jake Walden, another popular indie musician.

And for those who want a taste of Christopher's new EP, he will be playing five new songs that night!

Video - Has Been (Live)

Not long after the video preview of a new song was released on Facebook, Christopher Dallman couldn't help spoiling his fans one more time.

A live version of the soulful song "Has Been" was uploaded on his YouTube channel! Personally, I think Christopher's performance, from the same show at Room 5, is near perfect.

This is one of my favouritest songs, after "Ghosts" ... And I am so in love with the wistful yet honest lyrics.

I've listened to this song so many times and haven't got tired of it yet.

Video Preview - Another New Song!

Christopher Dallman just loves spoiling his fans. ;)

This week, he uploaded a live version of a new song "Light the Love" which he played at a recent show at Room 5 in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Christopher Dallman just shared a live version of a new song which he performed at Room 5 on 23rd March.

The song is entitled "Everything to Everyone" and I'm sure it'll resonate with lots of folks out there.

More CJD Videos In The Works!

You've heard it right...

Christopher Dallman is working on two more music videos!! Both with friend Christie Strong (aka @strongfeatures) behind the camera.

Just yesterday, Christopher, Joshua and Christie drove into the desert to take some shots for the "Subterranean" video. The shoot seemed to have gone really well.

Christopher Dallman Interview - "Gimme More" Video Shoot

Not only did CDC manage to get hold of Derek Woods - the director of the new "Gimme More" video - we also managed to steal some time from Christopher Dallman himself!

Christopher shares about how he met director Derek Woods and tells us some tidbits about the "Gimme More" video shoot.

CDC: What made you decide on working with Derek Woods for the the "Gimme More" video ?

Christopher: My good friend Elizabeth Uhl used to work with Derek's manager. When I released "Sad Britney" over a year ago, she sent him the record and he told her he had a client who might be a good fit to direct a video for one of the songs. So, she sent me to Derek's website and I watched his directors reel. I dug his visual style right away.

Liz set up a meeting and we had coffee one afternoon. We got along really well right off the bat. He explained his vision for the video and it sounded really good to me. He didn't sell me on a story so much as a visual scheme, and it felt like a really good 'next thing' for me.

It is here at last!!!

The brand new remade music video for Christopher Dallman's fantastic cover of Britney Spears' "Gimme More" has just been released!

The video, directed by Derek Woods, features Christopher in a tuxedo (oooh!) and lots of yummy closeups.

Which then segues into various split screens of Christopher singing plus guitar, piano and drum scenes. There's even an adorable triangle scene for that short musical interlude in the song.

The CDC blog is aiming for some background scoop about this "Gimme More" video.. so hold on tight to your seats for the upcoming blog post!

CJD At Hotel Utah

Just before Christmas, on December 19, 2010, Christopher Dallman came back to San Francisco to give a wonderful performance at the the Hotel Utah. The weather had been very wet but it stopped raining just in time for us to drive over the bridge for the chance to enjoy Christopher and his music live once again.
